Meet Scott and Karla

Where are we going this weekend? It’s the most frequently asked question at our house. Scott and I love a good day trip.

What makes a good day trip? The perfect day trip includes good company, a great cup of coffee, something beautiful to see (and photograph), and something new to experience.

Where do we like to go on our day trips? Considering where we live in the Pacific northwest where don’t we go?

In roughly 2 hours’ time we could have our feet in the ocean or be standing in the mountains. We could be surrounded by sage brush, walking through the rainforest, or looking over fields of wheat. We could be looking at orchards loaded with fruit or admiring a stunning waterfall. We truly live in a remarkable place!

Scott was born and raised in Washington, and I grew up in Oregon. Between the two of us we’ve lived in and explored the northwest for more years than I care to admit. In years past we’ve had a couple of kids along for the ride, but these days it’s just us two empty nesters.

Are we done exploring?

Not even close! You’d think our list of places to see would get shorter after doing this so much but somehow it just gets longer and longer.

There’s so much more to see and I can’t wait to show you what we find.
