5 Washington Waterfalls to See this Spring
Looking for a day trip with some beautiful scenery this spring?
Try visiting one of these 5 gorgeous Washington waterfalls.
1. Falls Creek Falls
This 335 ft. double waterfall is located in Skamania County near Carson, WA.While the falls on the Oregon side of the gorge get most of the attention, this one is in the same spectacular class. The hike to view the falls is 3.4 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 750 ft. This one can be crowded so arrive early. And bring $5 for parking.
2. Palouse Falls
If you haven’t been to Palouse Falls you need to put it on your short list of places to see. Located in Franklin County near Washtucna WA, you almost need to see this one to believe it. This massive canyon and waterfall is located right next to the parking lot and doesn’t even require a hike to check it out (just a Discover Pass).
3. Little Mashel Falls
This one is located in Pierce County near Eatonville, WA. There are 3 separate waterfalls in 1 five mile round trip hike. In the summer you can play in the river around the falls, but my favorite time to see them is in the spring when they are at their fullest.
4.Sol Duc Falls
This gem is located in the Olympic National Park off of Hwy 101. The hike is 1.6 miles round trip and is spectacular from May – October.
5. Racehorse Falls
This little known waterfall is located in Whatcom County near Deming WA. The hike is .6 miles and a discover pass is required for parking. There are several falls along the river here, but our favorite viewpoints were towards the bottom. You can read more about it here.
